Industry Alpha has launched the “Automated Packaging Line System” to realize smart automation of packaging processes.

Background of Service Provision
In recent years, infrastructure development has progressed and economic growth has accelerated in Southeast Asian countries, causing labor costs to rise year by year.
Additionally, with economic growth, there is increasing demand for improved user experience, and voices calling for quality enhancement from the perspective of quality control have emerged.
Companies are aiming to improve productivity, positioning labor-saving and quality improvement as important business strategies, leading to growing demand for smart factories and warehouses in the Southeast Asian region.
In response to this background, our company aims to expand smart automation projects such as automation and robotics throughout Southeast Asia, contributing to labor cost reduction and productivity improvement in the manufacturing and logistics industries.
Overview and Three Key Features of the Automated Packaging Line System
This system automates the packaging process in factories.

This system automatically assembles and folds cardboard boxes and prints the manufacturing date. Additionally, as an option, it can check the weight of the loaded items to eliminate any surplus or shortage. Using an advanced sensor system, it monitors for missing products to ensure product quality and consistency.

Three Key Features
- Automatically processes a large number of items
- Quickly and easily switches between SKUs
- Fully automates the packing process to reduce labor costs
Implementation Effects
This is a case where we, together with our partner, achieved automation of the packing line in the confectionery industry.
An arm robot automatically picks up sweets flowing on a belt conveyor, then automatically assembles and packs them into cardboard boxes.

Previously, factories producing, selling, and exporting confectionery and diet foods followed these steps:
- Workers picked sweets flowing on a belt conveyor
- Assembled cardboard boxes
- Packed the products
- Sealed boxes with tape
- Recorded the manufacturing date
With the introduction of the automated packing line system, the packing process was improved to 3 steps:
- Sort five bags of sweets into one pack using a bucket conveyor
- Form cardboard boxes automatically with a carton former
- Robot packs items into boxes and prints the manufacturing date
Before
- Many workers were required on the packing line
- Repetitive tasks caused human errors
- Work efficiency varied depending on the workers
After
Improved work efficiency per hour
One-stop solution for packing all products
Achieved unmanned operation through integration with conveyors and robotic arms
Future Outlook
This system achieves high productivity and efficiency while reducing the burden on employees.
In the Southeast Asian region, manufacturing is rapidly growing, and productivity improvements through smart automation are increasingly demanded.
By introducing automation solutions with the automatic packaging line system, we are confident in delivering cost benefits to our customers by enabling labor-saving in manufacturing where labor costs are challenging in Southeast Asia.
Quality management through sensors eliminates product shortages, and automating packaging with robotic arms and automatic case forming machines realizes both quality improvement and labor savings.
We aim to contribute to productivity improvement in manufacturing by advancing partnerships with distributors and partner companies across Southeast Asian countries.
